2 sent to hospital after Woodlands Checkpoint crash

Around midnight on Friday (22 Nov), at least three vehicles were involved in a crash near Woodlands Checkpoint.

Videos showing the aftermath of the accident were shared on Facebook.

In one clip, three vehicles — two white cars and a red car — were shown to have sustained considerable damage.

The impact of the collision seemingly left the rear of one of the white cars crushed.

The other white car sustained relatively minor damages to its rear.

Meanwhile, the windshield of the red car appeared shattered from the crash. Additionally, streams of blood were seen on the road next to the vehicle.

Debris were also strewn all over the road.

As the crash occupied both lanes of the road leading up to Woodlands Checkpoint, cars were unable to proceed beyond the site of the accident.

Smaller vehicles such as motorcycles were able to squeeze past the narrow passageway.

2 persons conveyed to hospital

Speaking to MS News, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesperson confirmed it was alerted to the road traffic accident along Woodlands Checkpoint Viaduct at about 12.05am.

Two persons were conveyed to the National University Hospital.

In response to MS News‘ queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) also confirmed that they were alerted to the accident which involved three cars along BKE towards Woodlands Checkpoint.

They subsequently identified the two individuals as a 36-year-old female driver and an eight-year-old boy. Both were conscious when sent to the hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.
