13-year-old boy stabs classmate over school van seat dispute
A 13-year-old boy stabbed his male classmate on 31 Oct in Si Satchanalai District, Sukhothai Province, Thailand after allegedly fighting over seats on a school van.
According to a Matichon report, the incident occurred inside the van at around 7.15am, when the students were on their way to school.

The perpetrator, identified as Chitsanupong, got on the school van first before the victim, Phiradech, who is also 13 years old.
According to reports, the victim regularly slapped the perpetrator on the head. On this particular day, this led the perpetrator to get triggered until he stabbed the victim in the chest with a pocket knife.
Perpetrator taken to police station
The bus driver called the police to report the incident and arrested the perpetrator with the help of passersby.
Sri Satchanalai police received the report about the attack at around 7.30am and rushed to the scene, where they found the victim seriously injured with a stab wound to his chest.
The victim’s family helped send him to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities also found a 2-inch-long knife at the crime scene.
The perpetrator was then taken to the police station for questioning.
Victim in serious condition
The police are currently investigating the details and motive behind the incident.
Meanwhile, the victim’s father, Mr Rapipat, said his son was a good boy who never argued with anyone.

He said he personally does not know the perpetrator and his family, and questions why the boy had to resort to violence.
The victim was sent to another hospital for further treatment on the same day as the incident and is currently in serious condition.
