TikTok user @aznanordin recently shared a video showing several cats getting stranded as heavy floods hit Kelantan, Malaysia.

The footage showed scenes of felines seemingly trapped and abandoned as a result of the flood.

Some cats were seen floating in plastic containers while others hung onto car handles or climbed to elevated places.

She confirmed that the cats in the video have been saved. She wanted to share the video to raise awareness and remind people to care for their pets.

Kelantan has been hit by heavy downpours for several days, leading to many neighbourhoods affected by flash floods.

Netizens took to Ms Azna’s video to express gratitude for the rescue efforts while calling for more rescue operations.
