Parking spot selling for cheap in China, it’s between wall & structural column

Recently, a homeowner in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China found out that his neighbour was selling a parking spot at their apartment building for much lower than the market price.

Upon checking it, he was surprised to find that the parking space was between a wall and a structural column, making it impossible to park a car easily.

The homeowner shared his discovery on social media and asked for others’ opinions on whether he should buy the spot.

Car can only be parked diagonally

According to Sin Chew Daily, the homeowner wanted to purchase a parking space and asked his neighbours for leads.

That was how he discovered that one of them was planning to sell a parking space for RMB 30,000 (S$5,551). This piqued his interest as the price was much lower than the market value.

However, he was dumbfounded when he went to see the parking lot and saw the massive pillar blocking the front of the lot. As such, a car could only be parked diagonally and its front and back would be completely blocked by the wall and structural column.

Netizens share encounters with unusual parking spots

As expected, the post triggered a lot of discussion on social media.

Some netizens believe that the parking spot is only worth purchasing if the homeowner gets a car that fits the space or if he also buys the parking spot next to it.

Others also shared their own experiences with unusual parking spots.

One said he bought a parking spot at a bargain price, but it is on uneven ground, as if on two stairsteps.
