Donate Your Toys By Dropping Them Off At Hougang Condo Parc Vera By End-June
Once your children have outgrown their playthings, comes the conundrum of whether you should keep or discard their pre-loved items.
But hey, you can donate your toys for a good cause.
Instead of being tossed out, unused toys can continue their “sacred duty” of sparking joy in the lives of children, some 2,300km away.
Local non-profit organisation (NPO) Share Your Spare, run by Mr Adrian Soco, shared on Facebook that he is appealing for toy donations from the public, to be gifted to underprivileged kids in the Philippines.
Mr Soco is no stranger to helping kids in the Philippines. Some of his charitable missions include feeding children in Manila, and building toy libraries in elementary schools.
Small or medium-sized toys needed
According to the post on Thursday (6 Jun), Share Your Spare is looking for small or medium-sized toys like toy cars — think Hot Wheels, stuffed toys, Barbie dolls & McDonald’s Happy Meal toys.
Mr Soco will be headed to the Philippines in August, and is looking to share these toys to those who are less fortunate.
Alternatively, he also welcomes new items for daily use such as stationery sets, lunch boxes and water bottles.
If you have spare that you wish to share, do read on.
Also looking for shipping sponsors
In an earlier post, Mr Soco announced that he is also looking for sponsors to help with the shipment of toys to the Philippines.
Mr Soco posted that he currently has two full boxes of toys, which will be used for toy libraries in the Philippines.
He wrote that he is currently short of $250 to send both boxes, and is appealing for help from the public too.

Kudos to a Good Samaritan
Thanks for being a good Samaritan. Let’s help spark joy in the lives of children who aren’t blessed with the same opportunities as we are.
If you don’t have toys to spare, there are many ways you can make a difference in the lives of others. You can help bring a trapped mother and daughter back from Lebanon. If you’re feeling a little more noble, you can donate blood to save lives too.
