Due to ‘Circuit Breaker’, Singaporeans are spending their birthdays at home, without the company of friends and family.
Upon request, Grab delivery rider Mr Remi Abdul Rahmat enthusiastically broke into song while making a surprise birthday delivery for a customer.
He recounts the wholesome encounter in a Facebook post on Monday (1 Jun).
To show her appreciation, the customer transferred an $8.88 tip to the rider, which thoroughly made his day.

Customer tipped Grab rider for his superb service
The delivery rider subsequently sent the sweet video to his customer, who then surprised him by transferring an $8.88 tip.
Her kind gesture made Mr Remi’s day. More so, he “felt happy and satisfied” when his customer appreciates his service.
However, this enthusiasm for his job is not motivated by tips or anything for that matter, shares Mr Remi.
Rather, he wishes to make his everyday life one that is “colourful” by enjoying it thoroughly.
Mr Remi’s optimistic attitude brightens our day
The energy and zest Mr Remi displayed is the very jolt of positivity we need as Singapore enters the next phase of Covid-19 recovery.
