Horse Spotted In Yishun HDB Carpark Is Part Of Mysterious Community Project

Here in the concrete jungle of Singapore, finding horses in public spaces are as rare as a shiny Magikarp on Pokémon Go — well at least for most of us who aren’t working in the Turf Club.

Yet on Wednesday (16 Oct), Singaporeans’ Facebook feeds were flooded by pictures of a lone horse at an open-air carpark in Yishun.

The pictures, uploaded by a netizen named Honda William, has garnered over 2,000 shares at the time of writing.

A man dressed in a navy shirt and jeans – presumably its caretaker – can be seen leading the horse to walk around the place.

The horse’s arrival was greeted by curious residents, who instinctively documented the rare appearance using their phone cameras.

Naturally, Singaporeans couldn’t help but wonder what the horse was there for.

One netizen speculated that it was there as part of a wedding.

Others thought that the photos shared were “no horse run’ and joked that Yishun property prices ought to be higher, given how “happening” the estate is.

Nee Soon MP Louis Ng later teased that it had something to do with an “awesome community project”.

He added that more details will be shared on his Facebook page, and urged Singaporeans to stay tuned for more information in November.

Perhaps it has something to do with the party he’s throwing for single unwed parents on 10 Nov?

Yishun is as happening as ever

Yishun is always a place of interest when it comes to uncommon occurrences, looks like horses too are part of the equation — yay or neigh?
