IKEA Malaysia Has Durian Desserts Till 31 July
‘Tis the season of durian and the festivities are just beginning.
IKEA Malaysia is set to host a Durian Dessert Festival with yummy concoctions like Musang King Frappe, Durian Puffs and Durian Tarts from 10 June to 31 July.
Locals who can never get enough of the king of fruits should mark their calendars and cross the border. We’ve fallen for IKEA’s meatballs, but this time, durians will front their kitchen’s offerings.
Musang King frappe, durian tart & cream puffs
IKEA Malaysia’s menu features 3 delicious durian desserts that already have us grabbing our wallets.
This ice-cold Musang King Frappe will give you the energy boost you need to conquer the summer heat. Durian lovers can grab them at the IKEA Cafe in Damansara and Cheras for S$3.25 (RM9.90).
IKEA Malaysia’s durian tarts have a crusty tart shell and a rich durian filling. We’ve tasted egg tarts so we believe its durian version will pack a punch. You can find this treat at all IKEA Bistros at S$2.13 (RM6.50).
Although we’ve seen cakes with creamy fillings, we’re excited to do a taste test on this fluffy durian cake.
The durian cream puffs are light and divinely delicious — which makes it easy to take several bundles back home to Singapore. We can’t wait to fill up our refrigerators with these creamy delights.
FYI, the Durian Cake S$3.25 (RM9.90) and Durian Puff S$1.94 (RM5.90) can be found in all IKEA Restaurants.

IKEA’s Durian Dessert Festival runs from Tuesday (10 Jun) until 31 July.
The nearest IKEA Malaysia branch is IKEA Tebrau which is a 1-hour ride from the Woodlands Train Checkpoint. The restaurant is several metres past Sultain Ismail Hospital.
