Indomie Air Jordan Shoes By S’pore Artist Are Every Instant Noodle Fan’s Dream Sneakers

20 Pairs Of Indomie Air Jordan Shoes Up For Grabs

Singaporeans can’t live without instant noodles. We often tear into a packet of Maggi or Indomie to beat the late-night hunger pangs.

But if your Indomie obsession doesn’t stop at just eating the noodles, you might want to consider copping a pair of these sneakers to take it to the next level.

Don’t worry, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. That’s literally a Nike Air Jordan designed to resemble the Indomie plastic packaging.

Indomie Air Jordan shoes look just like the noodle packet

Like Indomie’s wrapper,  the sneakers comprise red, green, yellow and white patches.

Indomie’s signature logo can also be seen at the rear heel counter of the sneaker.

The words “micin generation” which translates directly to monosodium glutamate (MSG) generation can also be found on the outsole, presumably referencing the large amount of MSG that Millenials are consuming through Indomie.

Designed by Singapore-based artist

These Indomie Air Jordans are designed by a Singapore-based Indonesian artist named Jonathan “Jonas” Gustana, who’s just 23 years old.

He recently graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA).

Jonas goes by the handle “mr.s.customs” on Instagram, where he shares his impressive ‘portfolio’ of customised sneakers and jackets since 2016.

20 pairs available @ S$316 each

Indomie may be cheap, but these sneakers are anything but.

The Indomie Air Jordans are going for S$316.41 (3.3 million Rupiah) per pair, and only 20 are available.

Fair game though, considering how much work Mr Gustana must have put into each sneaker.

As of the time of this article, 16 pairs have already been snapped up, leaving just 4 up for grabs.
