Singaporean Man Asks For Help In Finding Long-Lost Sister
Given how quickly information spreads on social media, it’s not surprising that many people use it to get word out.
On Sunday (3 Mar), a Singaporean man, Mr Tan, expanded his search efforts for his long-lost sister, Ms Chua Quee Tin, to Facebook. The post has since garnered over 1,000 shares.
Sister given away as a baby
Mr Tan had uploaded a picture of his sister’s yellowing birth certificate.
According to the certificate, she was born at the now closed down Bukit Panjang Maternal And Child Health Clinic in 1968. This would put her at 51 years old today.
Her home address was then recorded as 99 Jalan Cheng Hwa, since renamed as Bukit Panjang Road.
Seeking help from authorities
Some netizens suggested that the police or the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) may be of more help since he already has her identification number and a fair reason for wanting to find her.
Reuniting the siblings
If you have any information about Ms Chua, you can contact Mr Tan either through Facebook messenger or by calling him at 81810119.
While Mr Tan never gave any reason for the sudden search, reuniting with someone you thought you may never see again will surely be a cause for euphoria.
Hopefully, after 50 years of separation, Mr Tan will be finally get to meet the sister he never got to know.
