2 motorcycle riders injured in SLE accident

On 18 Nov at around 8.06pm, an accident involving a trailer and a motorcycle on the Seletar Expressway (SLE) injured two individuals and turned their vehicle into a mangled wreck.

Video footage on Facebook showed the black motorcycle broken in half from the accident.

The motorcycle’s shattered metal debris had also been strewn on the road.

In the footage, two motorcyclists had stopped to assist one of the injured riders, who lay in a pool of blood but remained conscious.

The individual appeared to have been flung forward from the impact.

The police told MS News that the accident involved a motorcycle and a trailer on the SLE towards BKE.

Trailer driver arrested

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) conveyed both the 23-year-old rider and his 35-year-old pillion rider to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in a conscious state.

Police officers also arrested the 32-year-old trailer driver for careless driving causing grievous hurt.

Police investigations are ongoing.
