Wild boar infiltrates train station in Korea & bites man in bathroom
On 29 Oct, a wild boar suddenly appeared at a train station in Yangsan, Korea.
According to The Chosun Ilbo, the animal, which was 1.5 metres long and weighed 100 kilogrammes, ran across an eight-lane road and entered the train at around 4.45pm.

Once inside, the boar caused a massive commotion in the train station.
As it was rampaging through the station, it stumbled upon a man in his 30s who was just exiting the station bathroom. The animal bit and scratched him on the arm as he struggled to defend himself.
Fortunately, the man was able to push the animal away before escaping from it. Later, he would be taken to the hospital and receive treatment for his injuries.
After the skirmish with the man, the boar then shattered the glass door of the train’s customer centre on the fourth floor.
Authorities respond to reports
According to Newsis, police arrived at the train at around 5.30pm.
They blocked and trapped the animal in a small corner on the 5th-floor platform to prevent it from escaping. The police shot three live rounds into the animal to immobilise it.
A specialist hunter was then called to identify and kill the animal at around 5.45pm.
After the incident, firefighters and other authorities cleaned up the scene and began investigating the extent of the damage the boar had caused.
The Yangsan Fire Department had dispatched 20 firefighters to respond to the incident, reported Ulsan Press.
