Man spills Chagee drink inside car while trying to tear perforation on lucky draw cup
A man from Malaysia recently spilt his Chagee drink inside his car.
The incident occurred as the man was trying to peel what looked like a lucky draw sticker on the cup. However, he ended up poking a hole in the cup.
His girlfriend shared footage of the incident on Xiaohongshu where it went viral with over 10,000 likes at the time of writing.
Her boyfriend’s name, Yap Jun Hao, even trended on the platform as a result of the viral post.
According to Tiffany, there was a hole in the inner cup containing the drink, causing it to spill out into the “prize compartment”.
Chagee Malaysia eventually agreed to compensate them, after Tiffany shared the video with the bubble tea store.
The company also apologised in the video’s comment section, saying they would message Tiffany privately.

Speaking to WeirdKaya, Tiffany revealed that Chagee agreed to cover the car wash fee and even offered them merchandise as compensation.
Bubble tea chain accused of rigging contest
On 16 and 17 Nov, Chagee Malaysia held a “Tear & Win” contest to celebrate its 7th anniversary, which included prizes such as Apple devices and luxury bags.
Customers had to purchase a drink and tear the perforated section on the cup to reveal the prize.
However, the company was accused of rigging the lucky draw, as staff were able to see the prizes by peeking into the cups. Netizens also observed that those who won the attractive prizes were influencers.
