Wild chicken chilling on laundry rack outside Yishun HDB
Speaking to MS News, Lily said she spotted the chicken when she walked out of her room. She recalled that bird was making some noise at the time.
Throughout the one-minute and 40-second video, the wild chicken stayed on her outdoor laundry rack.
Despite being nine floors above ground, the chicken seemingly did not appear distressed.
It walked back and forth along the rack a few times, seemingly curious of its surroundings as it bobbed its head around.
The resident then uploaded a second part to the video, showing the chicken leaping off the rack and gliding to a lower HDB block nearby.
Despite seeing an increased number of chickens in her estate, Lily said she was “shocked” to see one outside her house’s window.
Netizens confused about how chicken made it to 9th floor
As the video circulated on social media, many netizens were confused at how the chicken found itself on the ninth floor.
Some mentioned having seen wild chickens fly short distances before, but not as high as nine floors.
Others joked that the chicken was looking for built-to-order (BTO) units on a high floor.
Another netizen thought this might be a sign of incoming wealth and fortune, given the rare odds of this happening.
