Photos on Facebook show both vans at the scene with visible front-end damage, presumably caused by the collision.

One of the vans, positioned on the right, appeared to bear the brunt of the impact, with its front and side doors crushed.

A PMA device was spotted next to the more severely damaged van, suggesting a direct collision with the vehicle.

Fragments of debris from the vehicles were scattered across the road.

Traffic police motorbikes were also present at the site.

2 sent to hospital as result of collision

In response to MS News queries, the SCDF and the Singapore Police Force (SPF) both confirmed they were alerted to the accident at 10.50am at the junction of Choa Chu Kang North 5 and Choa Chu Kang Drive.

Two individuals, a 53-year-old male user of an active mobility device and his 8-year-old female pillion, were subsequently transported in conscious states to the National University Hospital (NUH) for treatment.

The police said that a 58-year-old male van driver is assisting with ongoing investigations.
