Party Horn Pokes Roof Of Boy’s Mouth Till It Tears & Bleeds, Mum Warns Parents To Be Careful

Party Horn Mishap Leaves Boy Bleeding From His Mouth

We often trust that silly toys are harmless and don’t think twice when young children play with them.

But a Malaysian mum learnt otherwise when a party horn left her son bleeding profusely from his mouth.

What was initially a normal play session turned into a horrific incident that she never saw coming.

Boy was blowing on party horn

The mother shared the incident via a post on Facebook page Viral Johor on Monday (25 Nov). You can see it here in full, but we’ll summarise the story in English after the jump.

Her 2-year-old son had placed a party horn in his mouth and was blowing on it when he tripped and fell, poking the horn through the roof of his mouth.

The boy immediately started wailing as blood trickled from his mouth.

His terrified mother, upon rushing to him, spotted a visible tear where the horn had poked him, and was shaken by how much blood there was.

The pain was apparently so unbearable that her son cried till his face turned blue.

Required specialist attention

After she calmed him down with some cold water, she noticed just how big the tear was and decided to rush him to the hospital.

There, the doctor had to refer them to a specialist due to the delicate nature of the palate, which is very thin.

It’s likely that the young boy eventually received stitches for his injury, though the mum did not disclose further details.

Parents should be careful

The rather graphic images may be disturbing to some, but the mum hopes that her experience will serve as a reminder for parents to be more wary.

She admitted that she was at fault for not watching her son more closely, and advises other parents to not repeat her mistake.

The next time you have to babysit a young child, remember to never let them out of your sight. Accidents can happen under any circumstance, and it doesn’t hurt to be a little extra cautious.
