AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes enjoys exclusive DJ set with private headphones
Billionaires and multi-millionaires are often known for indulging in eccentric luxuries that leave the rest of us scratching our heads.
Take Tony Fernandes, for instance.
The AirAsia CEO recently took this to a whole new level by hiring a private DJ to perform exclusively for him — headphones firmly in place, with music only for his ears.

A video of the moment was shared by the DJ, Lau Hoe Yin (better known as Blink), on social media, garnering 172,600 views on TikTok and 366,000 on Instagram.
DJ follows CEO as he dances across the room
In the 11-second clip, Mr Fernandes is seen strutting across the room, dancing to the private set.
Clad in a printed shirt, a neon green vest with matching trousers, a chunky gold chain, and wired headphones, the CEO is clearly in his element as he jams to G-Dragon’s ‘POWER’.
Behind him, Blink trails closely, working his DJ console to ensure the music is perfectly synced to Fernandes’ moves.

Meanwhile, the people around them seem unable to hear the music at all.
CEO did it for a skit
While some social media users found the CEO’s antics “cringe”, others shrugged it off, saying he can do whatever he likes — after all, he’s rich.
However, this didn’t seem surprising to those familiar with Mr Fernandes, who’s known for his quirky stunts, such as the time he attended virtual meetings shirtless while getting a massage.

One Reddit user revealed that the DJ was hired for an annual dinner and that the skit was part of a lighthearted request from him to the CEO.

Meanwhile, several users noted the CEO’s choice of wired headphones for the video, suggesting he could have gone with wireless ones for a bit more convenience.
