1 lucky punter wins S$6.1M jackpot in 29 July TOTO draw after prize snowballs

Just four days before the S$5 million TOTO National Day Draw, one person has won a jackpot that has eclipsed that amount.

The lucky punter snagged a windfall of S$6.1 million in the draw on Monday (29 July).

The winning ticket was purchased at a Singapore Pools outlet in Jurong West.

TOTO jackpot on 29 July was more than S$6.1M

According to Singapore Pools, the latest draw was for an eventual Group 1 prize of S$$6,102,326.

The jackpot was so large because there was no Group 1 winner for two consecutive draws on 22 July and 25 July.

Thus, the prize snowballed to that staggering amount.

The winning numbers ended up being 19, 24, 29, 30, 31 and 46.

The additional number was 28.

While the jackpot is often shared between a few winners, only one punter managed to crack the winning formula this time round.

He or she thus snagged the full sum of more than S$6.1 million.

In contrast, the Group 2 prize was shared among eight people, with each of them getting S$81,338 — considerably less than the jackpot winner.

Winning ticket bought from Jurong West retailer

According to Singapore Pools, the location that produced the winning ticket was a Singapore Pools outlet in Jurong West.

It’s located on the ground floor of Block 508 Jurong West Street 52.

Monday’s jackpot is the highest amount won by a ticket purchased from this outlet, according to information from Singapore Pools.

The winning ticket was bought via 1 System 7 Entry, meaning the minimum bet amount was S$7.

S$5 million on offer in TOTO National Day Draw

The next draw will of course be the TOTO National Day Draw on Friday (2 Aug), with an eye-catching S$5 million up for grabs.

Punters can start placing their bets by purchasing S$10 or S$20 packs, which are now available at all Singapore Pools outlets.

To accommodate the expected high demand, Singapore Pools has announced extended operating hours at its branches, including its main branch and authorised retailers.

They will be open from 8am to 9pm on 2 Aug, with authorised retailers open from 8am to 8pm on 31 July and 1 Aug.
