Bangkok’s Central Village Luxury Outlet Opens On 31 Aug

When your shopping trip in Bangkok is ending, you’ll most likely have some baht to spare before heading home.

Sadly, the airport shops aren’t as fantastic as the city’s night markets and massive shopping malls.

This’ll no longer be the case, now that a hot shopping destination is opening on Saturday (31 Aug). Enter Bangkok’s first luxury outlet, Central Village.

The establishment is Thailand’s first international luxury outlet and it’s only a 10-minute cab ride from the airport.

We believe Central Village will offer the ultimate shopping experience of a lifetime, so here are some of the reasons why you should book a ticket to Thailand soon.

Luxury shopping paradise with 235 outlet brands

Central Village boasts that they’ll be the shopping paradise of Thailand.

The mall occupies a vast expanse of 40,000 square feet, which is only slightly smaller than a soccer field. Prepare to shop till you drop, since it will include a total of 235 local and international retail stores.

Time Out Singapore confirmed that popular sports and fashion brands like Polo, Under Armour, Kenzo, Coach, Puma, Onitsuka Tiger, and Superdry will set up shop. We don’t know when these stores will officially open so stay tuned for updates.

Up to 70% off discounts

Besides popular luxury brands, there will also be shops for appliances, kitchenware, kid’s toys, and accessories.

Just like everything else in Bangkok, their offerings will be sold at lower prices. Shoppers can expect discounts from 35% to 70% off every day, plus additional promotions.

We bet you’ll consider buying extra luggage to store your massive purchases.

More Thai and street delicacies to choose from

Foodies who want to experience legendary Thai food and street food should put the Food Village on their radar.

While they haven’t released a list of the restaurants that will be available, you can expect Modern Thai style offerings and cuisines from across the world.

Similar to their retail offerings, we bet that food will be cheaper too. You’ll definitely forget your diet plans while becoming starry-eyed over Thai boba tea.

Cultural events & tourist services

There’s no need to worry if you’re far away from Bangkok’s markets ,because you can browse through a variety of gifts, local handicrafts, and souvenirs here.

Tourists will also receive special privileges from the mall, such as:

  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Real-time flight information
  • Power banks for smartphone charging
  • Wheelchairs
  • Shuttle bus schedules
  • Baby strollers
  • Currency exchange

With all these perks, we think you might make some last minute changes to your itinerary so you can spend more time here instead.

Meanwhile, those who want to experience Thai culture can head to their upcoming Thai Pavilion Zone, which will host art fairs and cultural events led by the Ministry of Culture and the Department of Internal Trade.

While there’s no line-up of events yet, we’re hoping they will post updates ASAP on their website.
