Car Trapped Under Lorry After Collision Along Woodlands Causeway On 13 Oct
On Thursday (13 Oct), two vehicles and several lorries were involved in a chain collision along the Causeway towards Woodlands Checkpoint.

At one point, two out of the three lanes were blocked, resulting in a traffic jam.
Footage of the accident was later uploaded to SG Road Vigilante, showing that the lorry failed to stop upon approaching the cars in front.
Collision along Woodlands Causeway sees blue lorry crashing into sedan
On Thursday (13 Oct) morning, images of the traffic accident started circulating on Facebook, most of them showing the aftermath of the collision.
From the pictures, the front and rear parts of the maroon grey sedan appeared completely crushed. The roof of the car looked squashed.

From another angle, the car’s rear boot looks completely caved in, with the truck seemingly wedged into the back of the car.

More pictures reveal that it was a chain collision involving several other lorries. Another picture shows a silver car stuck under the cargo carriage of another lorry laden with goods.

The accident resulted in a major congestion, with vehicles stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Eyewitness reports from the scene said the accident occurred at about 9.40am.

At the time of writing, MS News learnt that traffic was moving, albeit very slowly.
11 firefighters deployed
According to Sin Chew Daily, the accident occurred at 9am, involving two cars and two lorries.
The driver of the maroon grey sedan was trapped in his seat and sustained injuries.
The Johor State Fire and Rescue Department said 11 firemen and three rescue vehicles were deployed to the scene after being alerted to the incident at 9.13am.
Firefighters successfully removed the driver from the car. The victim was conveyed to the hospital for treatment.
Heavy traffic at Woodlands Checkpoint
At 11am, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority shared on Facebook that there was heavy departure traffic at Woodlands Checkpoint due to tailback from Malaysia. Hence, delays are expected.
They also caution travellers to check the One Motoring website before embarking on their journeys as they expect heavy departure traffic.
