Man in Malaysia rescues ‘small crocodile’ in drain, turns out to be a stuffed toy

A man in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, had a whirlwind of a day after he fearlessly jumped into a drain to rescue what he thought was a small crocodile — only to find out that it was a stuffed toy of the animal.

The video of his amusing discovery was posted on TikTok earlier this week, where it has since gained 3.1 million views.

In the 9-second clip, the man in the drainage as well as the people around him were confused after he lifted the grimy plushie the size of a small crocodile.

Man was part of community clean-up activity

Speaking to WeirdKaya, the OP said they were having a community clean-up activity at a police housing area to eliminate Aedes mosquitoes.

They found a drain clogged with debris at one of the blocks and saw what initially looked like a carpet.

Thinking it could be a small crocodile, the man jumped into the drain to remove it, only to realise that it was a crocodile stuffed toy.

After laughing about their discovery, they ended up throwing the plushie into a rubbish bin.

Netizens say OP still did great

Many netizens also found humour in the OP’s epic discovery.

Some said that while he was not able to rescue a real crocodile, it was the thought that mattered.

Another added that taking the plushie out was still a good idea, as it would no longer clog the drain.

However, one commenter also noted that OP should be grateful it was not a real crocodile, or he may have lost his fingers.
