Hippo splashes horrified visitors with watery faeces at Indonesia zoo
A hippo recently gave zoo visitors an unexpected and horrifying surprise by splashing them with its watery excrement at Surabaya Zoo in Indonesia.
A video capturing the shocking moment was posted on TikTok earlier this week by user @apriliaanandaa.
The clip quickly went viral, amassing 15.6 million views at the time of writing.
Hippo rips fart as it splashes watery faeces
In the footage, the hippo could be seen spinning its tail like a fan while relieving itself, flinging its excrement all around.
Simultaneously, the hippo let out a loud, prolonged fart.
Nearby visitors screamed in horror and frantically scrambled to escape the messy explosion.
Although it was unclear exactly what kind of excrement the hippo released, the video’s caption implied that it was faeces.
Netizens explode with laughter at hippo’s antics
Commenters joked that they related to the hippo after drinking coffee, eating dairy, or dealing with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
One user even coined the term “crappeller,” a playful blend of “crap” and “propeller” to describe the hippo’s antics.
