Free 2-Hour Kayak Rentals At PAssion WaVe Outlets If You Clear Rubbish While Paddling
Singapore might be a small island city but for those who love outdoor activities, our country has much to offer.
Now, People’s Association (PA) is offering the perfect opportunity for outdoor lovers to enjoy what they do while conserving nature — free kayak rentals at 6 locations if you help clean up marine rubbish while paddling.
The offer runs from Wednesdays to Fridays for the whole of September.
Rent-a-Craft, Pay-by-Trash from 1-30 Sep
Singapore’s waters might be beautiful but it’s not uncommon to spot trash floating about.
In an effort to revitalise our waterways, PA’s PAssion WaVe is offering 2-hour free kayak or stand-up paddle (SUP) board rental.
The only catch? You will have to pick up marine debris while paddling.
The initiative, named ‘Rent-a-Craft, Pay-by-Trash’, is in line with International Coastal Cleanup Singapore’s vision for a bluer and healthier ocean.
Free kayak rentals if you clear rubbish at 6 outlets
‘Rent-a-Craft, Pay-by-Trash’ will run for the entire month of September at these 6 PAssion WaVe outlets:
- Bedok Reservoir
- East Coast
- Jurong Lake Garden
- Marina Bay
- Pasir Ris
- Sembawang
At Sembawang and Pasir Ris, paddlers will have to show a kayaking certificate. SUP is only available at the East Coast outlet and a SUP certificate is needed to rent a board.
For further enquiries, do reach out to the outlets directly. Bookings can be made here.
Slots might fill up fast but not to worry, new slots will be made available every Monday.
Kayak while helping to clean waterways
‘Rent-a-Craft, Pay-by-Trash’ is indeed a thoughtful initiative by PA, allowing kayakers to paddle for free while helping to sustain our waters.
So if you’re looking for an adventure, why not jio some friends and chope your craft soon!
