Singapore Neighbours Putting Up Mini Music ‘Concert’ Give Us Daily Dose Of Stay Home Positivity
As Singaporeans #StayHome during this ‘Circuit Breaker’ period, it is inevitable that we start feeling lonely from all the isolation.
Though so, you might be surprised by the potential fun we can have with the people around us.
These 2 neighbours who managed to put up a wholesome performance from their respective balconies show us that it is entirely possible to make new friends despite physical distance.
Their impromptu ‘concert’ got them a standing ovation from residents in the same block, spreading positive vibes during this difficult period.
Spontaneous music jamming session between neighbours
Singaporean Mr Yuga J Vardhan was playing his cajon with his family on Tuesday (14 Apr) evening.
His neighbour, referred to as Daniel, heard the music coming from the balcony a floor below and decided to join in with his guitar.
They spontaneously coordinated and performed a stunning rendition of ‘Top Of The World’ by The Carpenters. Mr Yuga’s family joined in as well.
Their melodious voices filled the air and drew much attention from fellow residents, as seen in Mr Yuga’s Instagram video posted on Wednesday (15 Apr).

The audience broke into an enthusiastic applause at the end of this mini ‘Circuit Breaker’ concert.
Heartwarming interaction between neighbours
Their uplifting jamming session brought smiles to the faces of many, especially with the lack of human interaction we are all experiencing now.
After all, it is hard to come across a new friend in circumstances like this. However, Mr Yuga believes that,
“It’s during this period where we experience simple joys, where strangers become family, where the car you drive, the size of your house nor the price of your clothes or any sort of these matter.”
This leaves us with an important message: show love to the few people we meet while in isolation.
Stay positive despite the circumstances
Though we might be apart physically, there are many ways in which we are still deeply connected.
It really doesn’t take much more than a simple “hello” to a neighbour you’ve lived next to for years to kindle a new friendship. We’re all in this together, and we should be there for each other.
Therefore, persevere through the remaining days of ‘Circuit Breaker’ knowing that you are not alone in this fight.
