Malaysian Daiso Ninso Has Everything From Kitchenware To CNY Decor At Just $0.70
Stepping into $2 store Daiso and buying things we don’t need is a crime we’ve all been guilty of.
Just when we thought the prices are tempting enough, Malaysian store Ninso decides to make the quest to be thrifty more difficult for us.
With all items costing RM2.10 (S$0.70), you can get anything from kitchenware to Chinese New Year decorations at a steal.
And they’ve recently opened a store close to Tuas Checkpoint, so making a quick trip there won’t be much of a hassle.
Everything you need for less than a dollar
If the ValuDollar store used to be a cheap thrill, Ninso may be the new, even cheaper thrill.
Everything from snacks to kitchenware and clothing are available at the huge store, so you can find pretty much whatever you need.
Not the type to invest in expensive and fragile plates? You won’t worry about breaking these cheap yet pretty ones.
They look very much like the costlier variety you can find at department stores, so your mum wouldn’t even know the difference.
There are even pots and pans if you enjoy cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
At least you won’t feel bad about discarding these if the bases get burnt after your CNY reunion meal prep gone wrong.
Festive decorations for your home
Speaking of CNY, Ninso also has festive decorations specially for the occasion.
These cute Year of The Rat themed decor will surely delight the young ones when they come over to your house.
And of course, no home is ready for the new year without pretty blossoms to add a bit of natural beauty to the surroundings.
They’re obviously plastic, since they’re on display indoors and all, but that means you can keep them for the next CNY.
Buy cheap snacks in bulk
Now that you have the household items ready, all you need are some snacks for your CNY guests.
Stock up on old school treats like melon seeds or kuachi, which are staples at every CNY family gathering.
Keep your aunts and uncles occupied with these crunching on these crispy crackers so they won’t bombard you with uncomfortable questions.
Don’t worry about the picky younger crowd either, as Ninso also has popular sweets like Fruit Plus candies and Cloud 9 chocolates which they’ll certainly enjoy.
Your guests will need some drinks to wash all that food down, and nothing does the job better than good ol’ Yeo’s drinks.
No, you’re not seeing things. That’s really 3 packets of Yeo’s chrysanthemum tea for a grand total of $0.70.
Ninso JB near Tuas Checkpoint
If you’re already taking leave before CNY to make some last minute preparations, a quick trip to Johor Bahru won’t hurt.
