Large python attempts to cross flooded road in Malaysia, drivers give way
A driver in Malaysia recently encountered an unexpected ‘pedestrian’ trying to cross the road — a huge python.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (12 Nov) on a flooded road in Setia Alam, Selangor following heavy rains that caused significant flooding in the area.
A video captured by the driver shows the large python sprawled across the road, with parts of its body submerged in the floodwater.
It is believed the python was forced onto the flooded road by the heavy rain.
Snake reportedly measures 1.8m long
According to Sin Chew Daily News, the person filming the incident was driving when he spotted the python trying to cross the road at a three-way junction on Jalan Setia Damai.
The driver is seen steering their vehicle to avoid crushing the reptile.

Heavy rains had caused reservoirs in Shah Alam to overflow, leading to water flooding many low-lying roads.
The flooding made travel difficult for vehicles.
The python, large in size, was later confirmed to be 1.8m long.
