School Holidays: 3 Long Weekends For Children Next Year
Friday, Nov 15. That’s the date students need to look forward to next year, because it marks the start of the year-end school holidays.
Primary and secondary schools will start on Wednesday, Jan 2. Meanwhile, junior colleges and the Millennia Institute will start on Friday, Feb 1.
The Ministry of Education announced these dates on Wednesday (August 15).

The best time to take a family vacation appears to be the first week of June.
That way, you can make the most of the Hari Raya Puasa holiday on June 5 and enjoy a 5D4N vacation with just 4 days of leave.
There are also a handful of school holidays you can take advantage of:
- Monday, 8 Jul (Youth Day)
- Friday, 6 Sep (Teachers’ Day)
- Friday, 4 Oct (Children’s Day–for primary schools and primary sections of full schools only)
All three extend into the weekend, which is perfect for a quick 3D2N getaway. See you at the beach!
