3 Shiba Inu Dogs Are Looking For A New Home In Voices For Animals (VFA) Adoption Drive
Those who have fallen for cute Shiba Inu dogs may have an opportunity to adopt them this weekend.
On Tuesday (12 Nov), Voices For Animals (VFA) announced that their upcoming adoption drive will feature three Shiba Inu Dogs.
The event will be held at Sunny Heights Open Field on Saturday (16 Nov) from 1pm to 4pm, as detailed in the post below.
If you’re an aspiring pet owner, here’s a summary of what you need to know.
Shiba Inu adoption details
These three beautiful Shiba Inu dogs are at least 5 years old.
They can easily mingle with dogs and are generally very happy pets to have around.
Parents with young children may not be suitable adopters. Note that this breed of dogs can be quite skittish so they need to be handled slowly and carefully, which may take time.
Any form of rough treatment may lead them to incur trauma and issues in the future.
Not HDB-approved
While we’ve bought adorable Shiba Inu coffee and glass cups, the real thing is not an HDB-approved breed. Plus, they may shed a lot too!
They can be really sweet but they may also be escape artists. If they don’t receive the appropriate care, they could run away from your home.
Given the delicate care that they require, VFS’ ideal adopters are families that have prior experience with this breed.
Family presence is required
Families that are seriously considering adoption should stop by the VFA Adoption Drive.
VFA requires all members of the household – including the helpers – to be present during the interview and screening. The absence of one family member will lead to the interview being voided.
Presence through FaceTime or video calls will not be a viable option.
This ensures that the entire family is eager to adopt and take on the responsibilities of a pet owner.
Don’t miss this opportunity
We’ve seen loads of Shiba Inu merchandise, so adoption is likely on your bucket list — providing if you’re not staying in an HDB, that is.
Families considering adoption should consider the duties and responsibilities that will be thrust upon them.
Taking care of a dog is entirely different from raving over their cute pictures and illustrations on the Internet.
The adoption drive will be at Sunny Heights Open Field. The venue is an 8-minute walk from Sixth Ave MRT station.
Venue: Sunny Heights open field
Address: 110 Turf Club Road S288000
Date: 16 Nov 2019, Saturday
Time: 1pm-5pm
Nearest MRT: Sixth Ave Station
Adoption drives rarely feature Shiba Inu dogs so don’t miss this opportunity.
