Man slashes wife’s lover after he catches her cheating on camera
Suspecting his wife of having an affair, a man secretly installed a camera in the bedroom and used his mobile phone to monitor her actions.
What he saw led him to a violent confrontation that ended with him slashing his wife’s lover multiple times.

According to Shin Min Daily News, Nguyen Van Tao, a 29-year-old Vietnamese man, had installed the hidden camera to spy on his wife after growing suspicious of her fidelity.
On the morning of 31 July, after leaving for work, he witnessed his 30-year-old wife and her 28-year-old lover cuddling in bed via the camera feed.
Furious, Nguyen rushed back to their flat at Block 38, Temple Crescent. Upon arrival, he armed himself with an 18cm kitchen knife from the kitchen before entering the bedroom.

Holding both the knife and his mobile phone, Nguyen began recording the encounter. In Mandarin, he demanded to know: “Who are you?”
When he did not get a response, Nguyen’s anger boiled over. He struck the man on the head and arms with the flat of the knife blade and ordered him to kneel on the bed.
Although the victim tried to apologise, Nguyen’s rage escalated further.
When his question about the duration of the affair went unanswered, Nguyen slashed the man six to seven times on his arms and head — injuries sustained as the victim raised his hands to shield himself.
Bleeding from his wounds, the victim managed to flee during the assault. A passer-by found him in the stairwell and called the police.
Sentenced to 60 weeks’ jail
Nguyen was charged with voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon and mischief. On Friday (6 Dec), he was sentenced to 60 weeks in prison.
The court noted that Nguyen’s actions were premeditated, as he armed himself before confronting the couple. While the judge acknowledged his emotional distress, the sentence reflected the severity of his actions.
Nguyen’s wife and the injured lover were not charged.
