Taxi lands on car’s front bonnet in multi-vehicle collision on PIE
On Wednesday (22 May), a taxi found itself on the front bonnet of a car after a multi-vehicle collision on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE).
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning. Three individuals were conveyed to the hospital.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.

On Wednesday (22 May) afternoon, Facebook page Singapore roads accident posted images of the PIE chain collision.
The pictures showed a taxi having crashed headfirst into the back of a black car, with its rear mounted on the front bonnet of another white vehicle.
Footage showing the aftermath of the accident has also emerged. In the video, traffic police vehicles and an ambulance were seen parked along the side of the road.

The two rightmost lanes of the expressway were also seemingly closed off.
3 individuals conveyed to hospital
In response to ST’s queries, the police said they were alerted to the incident at about 1.55am on Wednesady (22 May).
The accident involved three cars and a taxi.
Three individuals — a 54-year-old male car driver, a 63-year-old male taxi driver, and a 40-year-old male passenger — were conveyed to the hospital. They were conscious at the time of transport.
Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed with MS News that they received an alert about the incident at 12.45am and three individuals were conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The collision happened along eastbound PIE near the Toa Payoh Lorong 2 exit.
