Aunty’s “Tsk” Sets Off Angry 14-Year-Old & Starts Inter-Generation Fight At Clementi Mall
We’re all familiar with impatient uncles and aunties who always seem to be in a rush for something.
More often than not, they’ll utter the most typical, subtle yet annoying sound to express their frustration – “tsk”.
If your toes are curling already, we understand, and so does the 14-year-old boy who lost his cool after an aunty “tsk”-ed him at Clementi Mall on Saturday (21 Dec).
Aunty upset with teenage boy at Clementi Mall
According to an article by Stomp, the 14-year-old boy had blocked the middle-aged lady’s way at the FairPrice supermarket in Clementi Mall.
Upset with the obstruction, the aunty instinctively tutted at him.
Unfortunately for her, the boy heard her loud and clear, and wasn’t very happy.
He immediately started scolding her, shooting every single Hokkien vulgarity he knew without stopping for a breather.
Verbal spat turns into a physical fight
The aunty’s daughter rightfully got angry with his rude behaviour and gave him a tight slap.
But the angsty teen didn’t falter, choosing to fight back and attack the mother and daughter duo.
Even a middle-aged man who tried to break up the fight wasn’t spared from the young boy’s mighty little fists.
Fortunately, a witness called the police, who arrived soon after to settle the matter.
Incident sparks a boomer vs zoomer feud
Netizens both amused and appalled by the incident reacted to the news, clearly polarising the views of boomers and zoomers.
While younger netizens quipped about how the aunty’s actions weren’t out of the ordinary, the older folks were quick to express their horror at people’s attitude these days.
Whatever your opinions may be, try to express them cordially. We don’t need another petty fight which the police has to break.
