GetGo car believed to have self-skidded along Bedok Reservoir Road: Police
A GetGo car was involved in a crash in Bedok Reservoir in the early hours of last Saturday (9 Nov) morning.
A video provided to Shin Min Daily News by an eyewitness showed that the entire rental car had mounted the road divider, with the fence embedded inside its bonnet.
Petrol also appeared to be leaking out of the vehicle and onto the road.

An eyewitness identified as Mr Huang (surname transliterated from Chinese) said he drove past the scene along Bedok Reservoir Road at about 1.45am on 9 Nov. He was reportedly on his way to open his hawker stall.
The 62-year-old saw the GetGo car mounting the road divider. Mr Huang later drove over metal objects that he later realised were parts of the fence.
He stopped his car by the roadside and got out to find out what happened but he didn’t see the driver of the GetGo car.
Some workers who were also there told him that the accident had just occurred.
Mr Huang supposed that the driver had fled the scene before the police arrived as he was afraid of the consequences.

Investigations by the police are ongoing.
GetGo couldn’t disclose more details
A GetGo spokesperson told Shin Min that the company was aware of the incident.
As the crash was being investigated, it was not in a position to disclose more details.
A worker from a nearby construction site told the paper that the car was still impaled on the divider when he arrived for work at about 7am that morning.
