GrabFood rider forced into ‘reverse wheelie’ in Punggol after e-braking to avoid fellow cyclist

GrabFood rider unintentionally performs reverse wheelie

A GrabFood rider was recently forced into performing a bicycle stunt in Punggol.

After cycling across a zebra crossing, he jammed the brakes to avoid colliding with a fellow rider, unintentionally executing a ‘reverse wheelie’ in the process.

Despite falling to the ground, it appears the cyclist did not sustain any serious injuries.

Footage of the ‘stunt’ was shared on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook group on Thursday (5 Dec).

Based on the surroundings, the incident took place near the junction of Sumang Lane and Sumang Walk.

As the camcar approached a zebra crossing near the junction, the driver slowed down in anticipation of the GrabFood cyclist.

Seeing that the camcar had come to a stop, the cyclist peddled across the crossing.

But as the cyclist reached the pedestrian island on the other side, he failed to notice another GrabFood rider coming from the opposite direction.

To avoid a head-on collision, the cyclist jammed on the brakes, elevating the rear wheel.

The cyclist then lost his balance and fell off the bike.
