S’pore Taxi Driver’s Daughter Helps Dad Locate Japanese Tourist On Social Media
Many taxi drivers have been lauded for going out of their way to help a passenger look for a lost item.
In this heartwarming tale of a good Samaritan, the immense effort channelled into locating the owner, wasn’t just limited to a kind taxi driver, but also his daughter.
Here’s her post on 7 May in full.
Translated in Japanese:
日本の観光客が父のタクシーに携帯電話を落った。
Wi-Fi がないから通話はできませんでした。 携帯電話にはたくさんの写真が含まれています。 彼に電話を返したいお願いします!私に連絡してください。
Docomo AQUOS phone left behind on S’pore taxi
The pair are harnessing the powers of social media to locate a Japanese tourist who left a Docomo AQUOS R2 phone behind on her dad’s taxi when he visited Singapore.
The black phone also contains many adorable photos of a Japanese man who appears to be extremely close to his family members.
Phone not usable outside Japan
Unfortunately, the phone isn’t usable outside of Japan unless there is Wi-Fi.
The taxi driver’s daughter shares that her dad initially “failed to realise” that the phone was a “Japanese brand”, and was awaiting a phone call to help locate the owner but to no avail.
Here’s a closer look at the phone model for reference.
Many precious memories left in phone
They simply hope to let the man in the picture know this,
Do let him know that his phone is okay and we want to give it back to him! He has so many memories in this phone!
Faith in humanity restored
If you recognise the man or his daughter in the picture, do contact Kino Kun on Facebook via direct message.
We hope that the phone will be returned to its rightful owner soon — with all its precious photos and memories intact as well.
Kudos to the kind Singaporeans who have gone out of their way to locate the tourist by sharing the post.
