Man in London Guards uniform stands at attention at HDB void deck
London Guards are known the world over for their iconic red suits and tall, fluffy black hats.
While tourists would flock outside Buckingham Palace to see them, folks in Bukit Batok didn’t have to go further than their neighbourhood to find one.
The curious sight of a man wearing the red-and-black getup has made its rounds on social media, going viral on Facebook and TikTok.
Man in uniform didn’t move or interact with passers-by
Yesterday (20 March), Ms Pimpila Hoo or @iampimpila on TikTok shared a video of a man in a London Guards uniform standing at an HDB void deck.

Speaking to MS News, the housewife shared that she saw the man at an HDB block along Bukit Batok Avenue 5. Her clip showed him dressed in his guard uniform and standing at attention.
Certainly looking the part, he also followed the military posture of ‘chin up, chest out, shoulders back, stomach in’.
Throughout the video, the man did not once shift from his position or interact with passers-by.
Ms Hoo told MS News that the man stood at attention for at least 15 minutes, which was the duration she was there for.
Has been seen multiple times
This was apparently not the man’s first appearance dressed as a London Guard in Singapore.
Ms Hoo said that she had encountered him doing the same thing several times before that day. However, she does not know who he is or any other information about him.
She added that everyone who walks past the man would react with shock or surprise.
Meanwhile, one commenter claimed that they spotted the man in uniform at Lavender MRT station on Monday (18 March).
One-of-a-kind sighting amuses netizens
In jest, Ms Hoo teased that the man should don the Singapore Air Force (SAF) No. 1 Ceremonial Dress instead.
Jokes aside, the unusual sighting amused netizens, many of whom were surprised to see the ‘Queen’s Guard’ in Singapore.
One TikTok user wondered where the man obtained the uniform, while also commending him for his effort.
