Men Fish In Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Despite Crocodile Warnings, Say They Are Aware Of Danger

3 Men Fish In Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Despite Crocodile Warnings

Most of us would react to a crocodile warning by staying as far away as possible from the site. However, some might surprisingly throw caution to the wind.

On Sunday (15 May), three men were seen standing in the waters at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, apparently fishing.

When they were warned about crocodiles in the area, they allegedly replied that they already knew about them.

Two crocodiles spotted while men were fishing

On 15 May, a Facebook user said he saw three men fishing at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

In the post, he shared a photo of a sign warning the public to stay away from the water’s edge due to the presence of crocodiles.

However, in the background of the photo, the silhouettes of three men could be seen standing in the water.

The OP also included a video that quite clearly showed an actual crocodile in the waters, after which the camera then panned to the three men.

According to his caption, someone had shouted “crocodiles!” at them to warn them about the creatures.

However, one of the men allegedly replied, “We know.”

An unnecessary risk

Fishing at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is not only illegal but also highly dangerous.

We encourage everyone to heed the advice of authorities so we don’t endanger ourselves needlessly. After all, we cannot possibly predict how creatures will react when we enter their territory.
