It explained that she had failed to disclose her previous work experiences during the hiring process.

She had reported for her first shift that day but published “confidential areas of our restaurant” on social media “in clear violation of our company policies”.

Even though Ms Chang has left the premises, Nando’s disinfected and deep-cleaned the outlet thoroughly as an extra precaution “given her previous employment history”.

It also checked in with its team to ensure “no further issues” arise from this incident.

The company thanked customers for their support, concern and “swift action”.

She accused McDonald’s manager of sexual harrassment

Before her short-lived stint at Nando’s, Ms Chang was last seen working at a McDonald’s outlet in Petaling Jaya in an Instagram post on Sunday (13 Oct).

However, her time there was mired in controversy also as she claimed that she was sexually harassed by the manager, reported the China Press.

The manager has denied the accusation, saying that he was in fact on medical leave for three days during the alleged incident.

He has made a police report about her allegations and McDonald’s has also filed a complaint with the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission over Ms Chang’s posts on social media that contained the allegations.

Her Instagram account appears to have been deleted, as the original link to her profile now shows an error message.
