According to Chinese news site Dute News, the incident happened at about 2am last Sunday (20 Oct).
Ms Wu (surname transliterated from Chinese), the charger’s owner, said she had been charging the stand in her living room for about two hours when a loud noise prompted her to investigate.

Despite owning the device for about 1.5 years, Ms Wu claimed she only used the power bank twice over the past six months.
