Dog Can Allegedly Breathe Through Bag & Is Well-Loved, Owners Assure Netizens
Last week, we published an article about a bag-wearing dog that stole the spotlight from an article written by The Straits Times (ST).
Curious Doggo In ST Photo Makes Article Go Viral, Everyone Can’t Stop Talking About It
The netizens’ viral reactions to the fluffy bag-wearing pup proved just how much people love adorable animals.
However, people also raised concerns about whether it could still breathe with the bag on its head.
On Monday (4 May), the dog’s owner took to Facebook explaining that it could still breathe despite donning the bag and that it’s very well-loved too.
Bag on dog’s head made of breathable material
In the post, the netizen shared that the bag Baby – the dog in question – wore wasn’t made of plastic, but a breathable mesh material instead.
Netizens might have speculated and joked that it was a makeshift ‘doggy face mask’, but it’s allegedly used to prevent the chihuahua from licking other dogs’ urine.
Netizen’s mother protects dog with mesh headwear
The dog allegedly belongs to the netizen’s mother. She’s been putting the protective mesh on its head whenever it goes out for walks for a while now, even before the entire Covid-19 fiasco began.
Clearly, she loves her pup to bits and made it wear the mesh headgear for its own good.
On top of that, the netizen reminded us that the dog wouldn’t have walked in the first place if it wasn’t comfortable with the bag. Who knows, maybe it even likes the mesh bag!
Let’s not jump to conclusions
Clearly, this was just a caring pet owner’s way of taking care of their best furry friend’s well-being.
Though many netizens reacted out of concern, this just goes to show that we shouldn’t jump to conclusions, especially with pictures.
We wouldn’t want to wrongly accuse the lady of animal abuse when it’s, in fact, quite the opposite.
Hopefully, this pooch keeps bringing its owners and many others more joy during this gloomy season.
