Grab Driver Rejects Fare In Act Of Kindness
With the rise of taxi-hailing apps such as Grab, many of us turn to them for our daily commutes.
A happy customer has taken to Facebook to express her gratitude to a particular warm-hearted Grab driver for his generosity.
Here is her post in full.
Accepted passenger in wheelchair
On Friday (5 Apr), the customer had called for a Grab via the mobile app.
In the “Notes to driver” section, she wrote that there will be 3 passengers and another person who is wheelchair-bound.
The Grab driver, Mr Sung, accepted the ride and ferried them.
Declined to accept payment
After reaching their destination, the fare amounted to $6.
But when the passengers were about to make payment, Mr Sung did the unexpected — he declined to accept their money, perhaps out of sympathy for the wheelchair-bound passenger.
This made the Facebook user so touched that she gave him a glowing 5-star review on the Grab app.
One netizen asked the passenger to set her Facebook post settings to “public” so more people can know about the driver’s kind act.
Simple act of kindness
A small act of goodwill, while not a must, does indeed go a long way in making one’s day.
We hope the driver sees the post and the gratitude expressed to him by the passenger.
Thumbs-up to Mr Sung for his kindheartedness!
